Dragon Boats on Loch Ken is a Scottish charity established in 2010 by local people to raise funds for, and to set up the first ever permanent Dragon Boat Racing team in Scotland.

Based at the Galloway Activity Centre on Loch Ken in Dumfries and Galloway, the Charity currently has two Dragon Boats each of which can accommodate up to 22 paddlers.

The charity aims both to support local people recovering from cancer and to offer an alternative sporting activity to anyone who would like to take up Dragon Boating as a way to keep fit and enjoy a new interest.

We are always keen to welcome new members and there is no upper age limit. As paddling is a gentle, low impact sport, where the participant can stop and start as they are able, it is suitable for any level of physical fitness.
